These easy baby shower games are hassle-free and lots of fun! With just a little bit of planning and preparation, you’ll have a game that your guests will enjoy playing. If you’re planning a shower, you’ve probably got a long check-list of things to do, such as picking out food, beverages and decorations. Make your to-do list a little shorter by selecting one of these easy baby shower games that your guests will love to play. Many of these ideas don’t require any materials or if they do, you can find most of the materials around your home. Even though they are easy, these games will entertain your guests and create plenty of laughter. Don't Say Baby! A true classic! The purpose is to not say the word “baby”, which is pretty difficult at a baby shower!
You can play this game throughout the entire shower or you can play it for the first half hour or whatever time frame you choose.
As your guests arrive, give them a diaper pin or small clothes pin (you can find some really cute ones at a local craft store) to attach to their clothing.
Whenever someone says "baby", the guest who hears them say it can take the diaper pin and pin it onto their own clothing. If the guest who said the forbidden word has already obtained several pins, she loses them all when she says “baby” and must give them all to the person who heard her.
The guest with the most pins at the end of the event wins.
How Many Words Can You Create?
Easy baby shower games can be creative too! Hand out a sheet of paper to each guest and a pen or pencil. Ask them to write the first and middle name of the new baby at the top of the paper.
Give your guests one minute to create as many words as they can from the letters in the baby’s first and middle name. The guest with the most words wins.
Match the Baby Socks!
Buy several pairs of baby socks in different colors. Mix them up and put them in a basket. During the shower, dump the socks out into a pile.
Give each guest 30 seconds to match up as many pairs as possible. Allow one guest to go at a time so the others can watch and enjoy. Don’t forget to put the socks back in the basket after each guest and mix them up before dumping them out for the next guest.
Record how many pairs each guest was able to match. The guest who matches the most pairs wins a prize.
These ideas are sure to add fun and laughter to your shower. Because they are simple to plan and coordinate, you get to enjoy more and worry less!
